Where is amalgam ddo

I just ran this quest last week without any problem. Is there some specific scenario that he starts attacking Heyton? Main: 18 Artificer, Thelanis. When I've seen this behavior it has not been "keeps attacking Heyton till he dies". It's just been that the two of them, after a round of combat with sahuagin, keep swinging a time or two after the last Sahuagin is dead, and one of them seems to connect with the other.

That is, I can hear the noises associated with swinging and hitting. While I personally have never had Heyton die as a result, it makes sense to me that it could happen if he was very low on hit points.

Can't remember for sure, much less which other quest it might have been. That means it might not be a bug with this quest, but rather with the NPC combat routines in general. Now i just bring healing hire What seems to be happening is that Heyton gets damaged by amalgam's great axe though not by the full damage but by a percentage maybe the glancing blows damage?

Didn't this happen years ago to players? Wasn't it fixed back then? Module 1 Patch 3: The Harbor Players will no longer accidentally kill each other with two weapon fighting and glancing blows. Leave the town to find and talk with Amalgam, who is standing near the dwarf merchant.

Talking with Amalgam will start your final mission. The cave is pretty hard so bring some friends along. When you first enter the cave you will see some familiar faces to help you on your quest.

Lars will open two doors, but will ask you to take the path on the right side of the room. Follow the cave and kill all the monsters in your way. You will soon come to a locked door, step on the floor switches to open the locked door that is blocking your path. You will first have to kill all the monsters in the area before the magic barriers around the switches will be let down.

So if the shield is still up look around for the last monster to take it down. In the next room there are some hidden Shadow monsters that run around, so be careful not to run too far ahead of your party, otherwise you may find your self surrounded by hidden enemies. Up ahead there will be a locked signal door that is blocking your path, run up the near by hill to open the door. Work your way to the very top of the cave and step on all the switches located on the floor.
